Nervous system

In this blog we are discussing about the Nervous System, we define what is nervous system, how many part of nervous system, what is main function of nervous system, what is central nervous system, what is peripheral nervous system, what is somatic and autonomic nervous system and how many nerve cell and their function. so friends read the blog till the end for full information.

Nervous system

1. What is the nervous system

the nerves system is the part of an animal that coordinate its actions by transmitting signals to and from various parts of the body. include the brain and spinal cord. the brain is held in the cranial cavity of the skull and it consist of cerebrum, cerebellum and the brain stem.

2. How many parts of nervous system

The nervous system mainly consist of two parts (a). The Cranial Nervous System (b). The Peripheral Nervous System.

3. What is the main function of nervous system

It have basically three functions-

a. Sensory- Impulse or Information goes into the brain but does not get organized into appropriate response.

b. Integration- To process and interpret or analysis the sensory input.

c. Motory- To, respond appropriately to the sensory input.

4. What is the central nervous system (CNS)

The CNS include the brain and the spinal cord. the brain is body's "control center". the CNS has various centers located within it that carry out the sensory, motor and integration of  data. these centers can be subdivided to lower centers (including the spinal cord and brain stem) and higher centers communicating with the brain via effectors.

5. What is the peripheral nervous system (PNS).

The PNS is a complex network of spinal and cranial nerves that are linked to the brain and the spinal cord. It containing sensory receptors which help in processing changes in the internal and external environment. This information is sent to the CNS via different sensory nerves. The PNS is subdivided into following two nervous system and the two systems function together, by way of nerves from the PNS entering and becoming part of the CNS, and Vice Versa.

6. What is the Autonomic nervous system (ANS).

The Autonomic nervous system has involuntary control of internal organs, blood vessels, smooth and cardiac muscles. read more

7. What is the somatic nervous system.

The somatic nervous system has voluntary control of skin, bones, joints and skeletal muscle.

8. how many types of nerve cells and their function.

- generally two type of nerve cells:

(a). Neurons. (read more)

(b). Neuroglia. (read more).
